VR presentations

A VR presentation is a presentation you stand inside, in a headset or in a web browser. Each slide is a platform in a 3D space, with the slide's text on a panel. You look at the next platform and hold your gaze (or click) to move to it. You write the slides in Markdown, and you can draw where the platforms go on a plan, or leave Jollify to lay them out in a path for you.

Slides

Each # heading is a slide on a platform of its own. The heading is the panel's title, and the text under it is the panel's text.

# Welcome to the rainforest

Rainforests cover a small part of the Earth, but are home to half of its
plants and animals.

# The canopy

The treetops form a roof 30 metres above the ground.

What you get: two platforms, one after the other, each with a panel showing its heading and text. You start on the first.

Text on the panel

Under a heading you can write paragraphs, lists, bold and italic, as on any slide.

# Animals of the canopy

- **Toucans**, with their huge bright beaks
- **Sloths**, which hardly ever come down
- *Tree frogs*, smaller than your thumb

What you get: a panel with the heading and a list of three animals.

Scenes

A line ![scene](presets/…) under a heading picks a ready-made scene to put round that slide's platform. There are three: basic (just the platform), solar-system (the Sun and four planets) and gallery-room (a room around you).

# Our Solar System

![scene](presets/solar-system)

The Sun holds almost all of the Solar System's mass.

# Our class gallery

![scene](presets/gallery-room)

Paintings from Year 4's art week.

What you get: a first platform facing the Sun and planets, and a second one inside a room. + Scene in the editor adds this line for you.

Sub-slides

A ## heading under a # is a sub-slide: its platform stands a step up and ahead of its parent's, and you visit it straight after.

# The planets

![scene](presets/solar-system)

Eight planets go round the Sun.

## Mercury

The smallest planet, and the closest to the Sun.

## Venus

The hottest planet, wrapped in thick cloud.

What you get: a platform for "The planets", then "Mercury" and "Venus" side by side on a level above it. Sub-slides of the same slide stand next to each other.

Choose a height

Add {level=…} to a heading to set how high its platform stands: 0 is the ground, and each step up is one level higher.

# Down on the forest floor {level=0}

Hardly any sunlight reaches down here.

# Up in the treetops {level=2}

This is where most of the animals live.

What you get: the first platform on the ground and the second two levels up. The {level=2} does not show on the panel.

Placing platforms on a plan

When you want the platforms in particular places, draw them on the plan with the Platform tool, then pick each one's slide in the inspector. A platform can float above the floor, or circle round a planet or a model.

# Welcome

Look for the ring: it marks the next platform.

# Round the Earth

From this platform you travel in a circle round the Earth.

What you get: the same slides, now on the platforms you placed. Slides with no platform of their own carry on along the path Jollify makes.
